Having spent more than 40 years as a professional musician, choral and orchestral conductor, church musician, early music specialist, and concert presenter, Stephen Smith turned his energies back to analog photography, concentrating on medium and large formats, and black & white, silver gelatine printing.

He is also a member of the editorial team of Frames Magazine as copy editor, author and interviewer.
